Data output and data transfer continues to play a crucial role in our customers’ business. The transfer and verification of data, e.g. from digitization companies, is necessary. With the SICAD Converter Suite and FME , data may be transferred to SICAD as well as to ArcGIS. During the transfer, it may be verified whether the data comply with the digitization guidelines (e.g.: Are there attributes that lie beyond the mandatory values?, ..).
The data transfer from SICAD as well as from ArcGIS to data users is possible in numerous formats (e.g. dxf, dwg, MapInfo, dgn, shape, …). When transferring data, you may define specific filter criteria (only certain layers or feature classes, not all descriptors or alpha data attributes etc.) and thus fulfilling the requirements of single users.
In the case of raster data, SICAD-RBS can be used . With SICAD-RBS, standard formats like TIFF, GIF, PNG, JPEG, ECW and MrSID may be created out of the internal SICAD formats. The same way, standard formats can be read and converted into internal formats.
For simple output purposes (no data transfer), you can also use SICAD-PLOT, especially in case of presentation data. With SICAD-PLOT, you may display geodata not only on paper but there is also a large number of graphic formats for the data export. Among others: DXF und SHAPE, as well as TIFF, JPEG, PNG, SVG, GIF or PDF.
