This is why with ArcFM™ UT we manage the technical data of the network and integrate external engines for network calculation, e.g. SINCAL, Neplan, etc.
The UT Integrator product allows you to select various network features from the GIS database and perform various analyses on the information using the external calculation engine. The results are then displayed either inside the external software or geographically inside the GIS environment. The supported types of calculation depend on the external calculation software.
