Efficient plant documentation for SICAD-UT. Nowadays, the cost and effort involved in capturing the various components of a station or cable distribution cabinet in an electric power network is determined largely by the volume of plant to be captured and the complexity of the internal workings of each plant. This is why AED-SICAD is offering SICAD-UT-PLANT, an additional tool for efficient and cost-cutting plant documentation. Documentation is drawn up in graphical form; the application is based on SICAD. SICAD-UT-PLANT converts all graphical input into data for the alphanumeric data model used in SICAD-UT, ensuring that the full range of alphanumeric analyses can be applied.

SICAD-UT-PLANT contains the following features:

• Predefined schematic display of plant to facilitate the rapid capture of a station's internal workings
• Generation of copies so that similar plant can be reproduced quickly
• Reproduction of the node-line model structure in the Oracle database to enable network monitoring across different levels of voltage and pressure
• Full access to the SICAD-UT attribute data model
• Further processing of a plant using standard SICAD-UT functions

SICAD-UT-PLANT constitutes a major expansion to the scope of application of SICAD-UT and streamlines the process of capturing plant data.
