SICAD-IGEN is a component of SICAD/open. It is designed to automate the generation of varying target scales for digital utility networks on the basis of a single original scale. This functionality can, for example, be used to generate general overview or network switching plans. Different representations of the same network are generated interactively. A wide range of parametrizable functions enables the process of generalization to be automated to a large degree.
The benefits of SICAD-IGEN speak for themselves:
One key feature of the SICAD/open generalization module is that the entire process is broken down into small steps, allowing interim results to be displayed and manipulated. Manual corrections can, of course, also be made to the final result. SICAD-IGEN-Light offers the same functional scope as SICAD-IGEN, with the exception that it restricts the volume of data that can be processed. SICAD-IGEN-Light limits the size of the line network to a maximum of 500 objects, including the total of all lines (LT elements) and symbols (SY elements) defined in the input data. This component is intended for use by system administrators wanting to determine parameters and for users with very small networks.
