SICAD-UT-E (SICAD-Utility-Electricity) is the standard application for the documentation, calculation and planning of electric power networks and is suitable for international use. Data created with SICAD-UT-E can be reused for integrated network calculations and network planning. The product satisfies all customary requirements regarding the geometric documentation of electric power networks, including administration of the associated resource data. Once the appropriate parameter settings have been made, the product can immediately go into productive operation in this application area. Application parameters are set by modifying or adding to the entries in a data dictionary.
Network connectivity is captured on the graphical display and then stored both in the graphical elements and in the attribute data (in node/line tables). Network connectivity can therefore be analyzed either on the graphical display or by using purely alphanumeric information. The analysis of network connectivity based on attribute information is an alpha client function and is as such independent of the graphical representation of the power network. SICAD-UT-E enables the processing of geometric and alphanumeric data to be separated at system level. This opens the way to all kinds of variations in data capture, such as:
