Course Details

The ArcObjects components enable you to develop your own solutions based on ArcGIS and employing ArcGIS-technology. The course follows the lines of the original ESRI course „Introduction to Programming ArcObjects with VBA“, but its examples and exercises are based on the programming language C# and the .NET-platform. With exactly this programming environment AED-SICAD develops its ArcGIS-based solutions.

The course makes you familiar with basics of object-oriented programming using C# (C-Sharp) on ArcObjects components. Additionally you learn concepts of the .NET platform and the Microsoft Component Object Model (COM). The center of the course is to reach a deeper knowledge of the ArcObjects object model, on which the ArcGIS solutions are based. Through many programming examples, which you work out on your own, you learn the most important techniques and the most common classes.
