Hamburg and Schleswig Holstein choose AED-SICAD Solution for AFIS®-ALKIS®-ATKIS® data processing and presentation

The German Federal States of Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein awarded AED-SICAD a contract for the AFIS®-ALKIS®-ATKIS® processing and presentation component based on ESRI’s ArcGIS™ technology. According to the contract signed on April 5, 2004 , both States are now using the AED-SICAD solution for the entire management, distribution and usage of the AFIS-ALKIS-ATKIS data.


This solution combines the Automated Cadastral Map (ALK) and the Land Tax Register (ALB) to the new German cadastre standard ALKIS, the Authoritative Real Estate Information System. These data are then merged with the topographic-cartographic information (ATKIS) from the Federal Surveying Office.


In addition to the benefits of integrated business processes, Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein can now profit from the use of ESRI’s latest ArcGIS™ technology, which guarantees high investment security.
